Pajdak&Bang Biography
Pajdak & Bang are London based artists, whose collaborative practice seeks to make a connection with the natural world whilst acknowledging our increasing bodily impact and estrangement from it. In aiming to question and redefine the relationship between self and other, they research and fabricate new sustainable materials. These sensuous encounters are often expressed in sculptural forms, drawing out both lyrical and physical qualities —collapsing and confusing the lines between process and product, doing and documentation.
Pajdak and Bang, met on the Print Ma at the Royal College of Art in 2017. Since graduating in 2019 they have begun working on a research project that explores milk as both material and myth entitled ‘Welcome to the Pleasure Dairy’.
They are interested in questioning what it means to follow a material and to act in dialogue with it. And in doing so find out whether diverse cultural, political and epistemological orientations be exchanged and explored through a materials agency?
